Kiln Casting 1 or Box Castings

4 hours over two days, $95.00 

Learn the first steps in kiln cast glass using the box casting method.  We'll explore several methods of design using sheet glass, frits, powders and cullet.  You'll learn about mixing powders and frit to shade and tint to achieve custom colors and gradients, etc. You will be making samples for use in your studio.

Prior fusing experience is required for this class.

Kiln Casting 2 or Open Faced Castings

4 hours over two days, $95.00

In this class you will continue with your exploration of kiln castings.  You will learn to create refractory molds using different materials for models as well as continued work with sheet glass, frits, powders and cullet.  You will be making samples for in your studio.  Prior fusing experience is required for this class.
