Open Studio

OPEN STUDIO INFORMATION

Open studio time is intended for people who have demonstrated glass fusing experience or have taken at least the cutting and fusing class.   You will need to purchase your own glass and rent kiln time.  We will be available to help you with your projects and discuss firing schedules.

NEW Guided Open Studio Projects

Beginning in February on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm

Guided Open Studio Projects are for anyone who has taken at least the cutting and fusing class and wants to create during open studio time in a more structured manner.

Different Guided Open Studio Projects every month.  Februarys Guided Open Studio Projects are: 1 set of 3.5 x- 3.5" coasters for $35, and a 6 x 4.5 mirror or picture frame.  All of the glass and firing fees are included in the price.  (F and # glass codes excluded.)

How it works - on Guided Open Studio Project days  - the base pieces of glass will be pre-cut and/or pre-fired.  You will have a large selection of different types and colors of glass available to create the design layer.  We do the firing.  You do the finishing.

How is this different from "regular" open studio?  During "regular" open studio time, you buy your glass and your firing services.  You make more decisions about glass usage and how to use your shelf space.   Guided open studio projects are a nice way to become familiar with working in the "regular" open studio setting or a way to just come in and play with glass without a lot of decision making.

We still have "regular" open studio hours on Fridays and Saturdays, too.
