PLATES and Bowls

As a student in this workshop, you will be provided with the fundamentals necessary to pursue fused glass.  By the end of this workshop, you will make two fused and slumped plates. The workshop begins with exercises in glass cutting, including straight and curved cuts, as well as perfect circles. You will then design, cut and compose the parts necessary to make two fused and slumped plates – one square and one round. Discussions and demonstrations will cover the basics of kilnforming, from types of glass and mold materials to kilns and firing schedules.

No Experience required. 

Wear old clothes and closed toe shoes.
